Went to the Wok Cafe for supper last week with a few family members. Their evening menu is priced at $1.00 more than their lunch menu! It's a fabulous deal. You get a choice of soup or spring rolls, and a choice of entree which is served with steamed rice and stir fried veggies. I started with the wonton soup which had a very flavorful broth and 4 plump wontons floating inside. I had the General Taos chicken which was great. Nice big pieces of battered chicken (some places give you lots of batter and very little chicken) with a very nice sauce which had a bit of a bite. That came with steamed rice and great stir fried veggies. The portions are big. I ended up taking some home. Others at the...

My friends and I went to the Wok Cafe on Sources for the first time yesterday. The first thing we were impressed by was the open kitchen and how clean and organized it looked. Next, we read of the biggest menus and chose our main dishes and entrees (general tao tofu, curry tofu and spicy tofu...lots of veggie options!). We were served our food in a very reasonable time and it was soooo good. Their portions aren't especially huge, but we did bring home leftovers, each of which is enough for a full meal. One small detail I really liked was how deliberate the actions were of our server when putting our food in take home containers: he made sure to keep the rice, veggies and protein separated. W...

I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE. I ordered a general tau chicken 2 months ago and in the veg there was a cooked spider. It was disgusting. When I took back the salad and gave it back they said (it's normal). It may be normal for this Chinese but it certainly isn't one ill continue going to. I then today 2 months later from my last bad experience went to go give them another go. I asked , instead of having salad, please may I have just an extra small piece of chicken. He said no we don't do that. I told him the main reason I didn't want the salad was because of my previous experience. He still said no , need to pay extra.

I've eaten here about a dozen times in the past 2 years and have noticed a decline in quality. Maybe a change in managament. But the salt and paper pork that now and then my taste buds dearly yearn for have become what looks like strips of meat fried with a lot of flour. It used to be several piece of real pork chop cut cooked just so right. There Cantonese chow mein also use to be a mix of crunchy and soft noodles, but now just noodles in a very watery sauce. It's a shame cause it was about the only decent chinese chow in the west of Montreal island. Book a table now

I was introduced to this place by a friend. Simple decor what there is.The food is well prepared in the traditional style. The portions are generous. Service is very attentive. This is a West Island go to for Take-Out and delivery. One of those hidden gems that the locals know about. Yet a tourist or outsider would not know about unless introduced.

good servicegood egg tools, soup, dumplingshowever, the general tao's chicken, and sesame beef were nothing more than hardened fried rocks, covered in sauce.it is a pity that our forks could not penetrate into the crispified morsels of unidentifiable frittered pieces.......should have been able to see.....chicken, or the beef.

Went out with the family and a couple of friends to this restaurant, great specials under $10 with portions that you can barely finish. I had the peanut chicken and others had pad thai and general tso chicken, they were all amazing. Good atmosphere and service, will visit again for sure. Have some Dim Sum as sides too...

Been a regular for a few years. The last time I was here, I got take-out. I had a big order of General Tao, Chicken Soo Guy, Egg Rolls, Bok Choy, Chicken Fried Rice, Chow Mein. Won Ton Soup and Beef & Brocoli for a family celebration. Everything was delicious and my family loved the food. Book a table now

This is a great Chinese resto. They have great inexpensive lunch specials with great variety. The general Tao chicken with rice veggies and with soup or egg roll is 10$ and the portions are generous. The general Tao is highly recommended! Very good.
