This place was actually pretty surprising. My husband and I were looking for a late night snack so we left our hotel room around 12.30 am in search of some good grub. I was really craving some curry so we decided to sit in at the wok oriental. The man behind the till was very pleasant and patient. The snack deal on the front of the menu seemed ideal so we ordered that and I was expecting it to come in a polystyrene container but it came on a proper plate with proper cutlery which was actually quite nice. There were too many chips and they were a bit too crispy but the curry sauce was very nice. Would return again even if only to try some other things on the menu and enjoy the relaxed atmosph...
After a full day of touring Game of Thrones locations and Giant's Causeway with McComb's coach, I spotted Wok Oriental while being dropped off at Europa Hotel. Intrigued, I decided to go back and try their food. I ordered fried rice and was pleased with the generous portion and tasty brown sauce. I ended up taking the leftovers for a late night snack. The staff was multilingual, with the cook and manager speaking Cantonese and the counter girl speaking German, English, and Mandarin. Unfortunately, I forgot to snap a photo of the restaurant's exterior.
Been around a few more fancy and up market Chinese restaurants but you know for great food,quality,portion sizes and fresh Chinese cuisine it's hard to beat. Don't be off put by a sourly waitress behind the counter or the tough looking interior now showing it's age. The food is hit and yummy. Taxi drivers think so and they have large tummies for proof. I realized how good this place is after returning from other Chinese establishments. I had a lovely sweet and sour chicken ball meal with boiled rice. Mmmmmmh. Priced at only a fiver that's value.
I ordered food by phone to pick up, drove round picked up the food got home couldn't believe my eyes hairs not 9ne but two, rang they said reall sorry come back round and get another so I did and drive home again to my disgust these time more hairs I couldn't believe it was actually sick. Stay clear from this place pure filth, I see taxi drivers sitting inside eating there cheap spiceals only if they knew the truth. I believe in gaving chances but no way these pure filthy place rotten stay away go else where or you'll be sick like I was.

When you see the big taxi drivers and bouncers at this restaurant, you know it's popular and has a lot of food. There's no pretentiousness here. You order at the counter, pay, and then find a seat. They bring everything on one plate. The curry is flavorful and spicy, with a good balance of sweet and sour. Don't expect fancy gourmet dining, just quick and affordable Chinese food. Some dishes are better than others, so give it a try.
We got takeout from this place last night! The portion sizes were generous and the food was fantastic. Everything is cooked fresh and you can really taste the difference. The restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Belfast City Centre near Shaftesbury Square.
The restaurant has a shared restroom with no hand soap, which is disgusting. The food was delicious, however I ordered the house special chow mein but was disappointed by the lack of meat and prawns. It seemed more like a vegetarian dish.
I have eaten here many times when in Belfast and not wanting to use up too much time eating. It doubles as a takeaway and sit in restaurant. The staff are always very efficient and very friendly. The food is fantastic.
