With a bad experience, I made everything wrong at the first order, so I ordered again. In the meantime, my husband ate his meal. And after a while I got my meal. And again they did it wrong, even though I knew what I wanted. So I ate the things I could eat, and the rest of the meal, half of it, was left on the record. The vision when restaurant was that they are very interested in taking care of their customers and their experience of food. But they had no good service. I asked if I could get a discount because 1: I had to wait after I first served wrong food 2: I had to eat alone because my husband could not wait as his food would have cold. 3: The second meal I got was also wrong. But no,...
Wir besuchten das Wolkenlos für einen Drink als Abschluß eines schönen Tags an der Ostsee. Meine Frau bestellte einen Kakao und ich wollte einen guten Rotwein trinken. Leider wurde mir der Rotwein in einem Weißweinglass serviert. Das geht gar nicht, da die Lokation ihrem gehobenen Anspruch nicht gerecht wird. Auf meine Nachfrage nach einem Rotweinglas gab es verschiedene Ausreden (Platzmangel, nicht Spülmaschinentauglich), aber keine für mich zufriedenstellende Antwort. Es ist schade, dass eine so schöne Lokation nicht in der Lage ist, ihrem Anspruch gerecht zu werden. Eine tolle Aussicht alleine genügt nicht.
We stopped at the Wolkenlos on a Boxing Day attracted by a wonderful rainbow and, as the story goes, at the end of it we found a golden pot. Indeed the place is very cozy and welcoming with a breathtaking view of the Baltic Sea both all around as well as under your feet thanks to a glass floor. The food is very tasty and the drinks excellent. But above all things the most remarkable aspect you will find is service. The entire staff, lead masterfully by Cem, is super attentive, nice and friendly. They will make you live an experience you definitively want to live again. As we will certainly do.
...but something is missing. The restaurant is located on a fantastic location and the view is great. The interior is cool, almost literally. The menu is kept small, with only a few participants, main courses and desserts. These are all quite standard dishes (salades, burgers, etc., but the food is creatively served and looks good. Prices are slightly increased, but this is probably due to the great location. Service was helpful and friendly, and there are some nice gimmicks, like a robot that brings the drinks. And yet something is missing. Maybe a little more soul...?
