Truly Unexpected. The burger was really good, but not $19 good. The service, the hosts, and the bar staff were the best part about it. They’re open really late, but sometimes it’s completely empty, definitely bring a friend to keep yourselfcompany. I enjoyed the space. It was great to find a new place to hang out. The biggest let down was the french fries. Theywere identical to the ones I had in my high school cafeteria. I couldn’t even look at them. I just don’t like those awfulfries. The biggest relief, I was able to order a brownie after they had already closed the kitchen. The brownie had more of abread pudding texture than what you would expect of a normal fudge brownie. The service was great and there are many options on the menu. A great beer selection and several TVs both inside and outside to enjoy the games on. The smoked and grilled fiery BBQ wings were on the spot and I will be back to try their fire wings that required a renunciation. I tried the Cuban sandwich and Cajun fries that were both good, but the sandwich was great for me despite the meat. Hush puppies and the Brezel app were also really delicious. I would definitely visit again.
However, the fries were a letdown—they reminded me of the ones from my high school cafeteria, and I couldn't even bring myself to eat them. The biggest surprise came when I was able to order a brownie even after the kitchen had officially closed. The brownie had more of a bread pudding texture rather than the typical fudgy consistency you’d expect. If you decide to get it, I suggest asking for the caramel on the side and be prepared for a bit of saltiness.
I want to start by saying Wood and Iron has some of the best fried pickles I've ever had. However, I was not so blown away by the smokehouse burger. The glaze they put on the burger made it way too sweet. The crispy onions were drenched with thisglaze/sauce as well making them soggy onions. Having said that, the Cuban sandwich and Cajun fries my wife ordered were great. I will be back. Overall this was a good experience, but it could've been better. Book a table now
Love this place; especially Happy hour, you can 't beat the drunk prices! Babe I visited our local location yesterday and sat out on the patio as it was lovely outside. Cheesesteak egg rolls NEVER disappoint; Cajun fries were fried to a yummy golden crisp, and babes Double bacon cheddar burger was juicy and on point. The manager T.J. greeted us with a huge smile, and our server was very attentive. Wood Iron will definitely stay on my 'Faves ' list!
I want to begin by saying that Wood and Iron has some of the best fried shrimp I've ever tasted. However, I was not very impressed with the smokehouse burger. The glaze they used made the burger too sweet for my liking, and the crispy onions ended up soggy because of it. On the other hand, my wife’s Cuban sandwich and Cajun fries were fantastic. Overall, we had a good experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement.
Update: the goat cheese salad is amazing! I have added 2 stars because of that salad alone. Everything else was just eh. It was good enough. My sangria was more like a white zinfandel with sprite loaded with ice so it was a bit watered down. I had the large so I should have been toasty.. I wasn't. Not much to right home about it was just ok.. not exceptional.
Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Seating outside was good. Food was excellent. Split a half of a Cobb salad with my bride and also had 10 chicken wings. Both were delicious. The size of the salad was amazing, you could probably feed four people from it. Had another delicious Cobb salad today. Book a table now
I visited this restaurant for the first time, and the food was amazing! It was also my birthday dinner! Our waitress, Maggie, was wonderful and made us feel like we were regular patrons. Her recommendations were spot on! You have to try the cheesesteak egg rolls—you'll thank me later!
