Our server, Phil, was phenomenal. The timing of everything was perfection. From the drinks to dessert, everything was SO good. The yellowtail watermelon sashimi was such a good pairing. We had the refreshing Mexi Flowering Squad cocktail, the fried chicken plate was the best I've ever had, and the fried rosemary sprig peering out of the mashed potatoes was to die for. The crust of the key lime pie was unlike any other crust I've had. It wasn't your typical graham cracker crust. It was a nutty, crumbly, not too sweet crust of perfection that made it a dessert of its own. Wow! When I made the reservation, there was a disclaimer that there was a 1.5 hour time limit for parties of 2, however aft...
One of the best dining experiences I?ve had in LA. To start we had the oysters and the squid ink calamari. It was perfectly crispy and had great flavor. We also had the eye of the ribeye with lobster ravioli. The steak was truly a medium rare exactly as ordered. The charred crust on a top was delicious with a pepper leaning flavor that pared perfectly with the creamy pink sauce. We also had the lobster mac cheese which was so tasty. Very lobster forward so order up seafood lovers.
My fiancée and I raised this place! We wanted to try more places near home and that was a serious jewel. I'm a real foodie and even among the fine dishes I've made, that was close to the top. Service was friendly and fantastic. My duck was perfectly cooked and the taste balance was just right. Cocktails were also the next stage!
Deconstructed Wellington is a must. Smoke on the water cocktail. Best bread ever. Lobster with squid ink pasta ?. I would go back for the lobster sliders and the NY strip with rosemary butter. Perfectly cooked.
