Drink- 3/5. Tasted yummy! I like the idea of an herb and a coffee together. Didn't get too much rosemary as I would have liked, besides the aroma. Coffee itself tasted a little sour? I don't believe it's from the citrus topper. I assume it's from the beans itself. Still yummy though! Ambiance- 5/5. Super cute inside! There is a garage window, so it gets great lighting and views to the outdoor patio/street. Inside is rustic, modern, and boho. A wall filled with open shelves filled with wine, plants, and decor. Seating was very tight all around, limited space, limited seating. Outdoors, there were a few larger gathering tables! Great to meet with a large group. Service- 4.5/5. Cashier was supe...

A little-known gem in Costa Mesa! The parking situation here can be chaotic, but it’s absolutely worth it for their sandwiches. I always go for the Classic Sando with spicy salami. It's one of my all-time favorites and I believe it's perfect. The focaccia is fantastic, and I particularly love the sprouts included! I often find myself dreaming about this sandwich and I definitely need to visit more frequently. I also tried their Tuna Melt Sando, which is served on the same focaccia bread. It’s a solid tuna sandwich, and the addition of apples is a fun twist. For a melt, it’s surprisingly light, which I really appreciate. The drinks can be hit or miss for me, but their espresso and matcha toni...
Very quaint and modern take on a coffee store. Loved their items!! Enjoyed their Filipino influenced menu items too.Ube latte- 5/5 tried it iced with a shot of expresso and oat milk. The Ube flavor was present but understated and blended well with the coffee. The presentation was also beautiful. Would definetly recommend you try this! Rosemary latte- 4.5/5. Tried it iced with a vanilla iced top. The presentation was beautiful with a rosemary stem and dried orange. The rosemary taste was distinct but blended rather well with the coffee with minimal aftertaste.Breakfast sando- 5/5. A perfect ratio of egg, ham, and arugula on a well toasted focaccia bread. It was a great breakfast meal!
Hands down the best coffee shop I 've been to! I loved the food options and the Rosemary Latte blew my expectations!I ordered the Rosemary latte and I love how when you are dining in , it 's served in a glass cup. This was super refreshing, and it had a sweet and savory taste to it because of the cream top. I love when drinks are creamy and not too sweet and this did just that! I also got the Classic Sando with spicy salami. This was the perfect sandwich because I love the mustard and the pickled onions! It gives the sandwich more dimension and flavor. I will definitely be coming back to try the other items on the menu, especially the burrito and the brown sugar maple latte! Book a table now
However, the problem lies with their internet connection. I can connect just fine, but many common websites are inaccessible, and I'm unable to connect to a VPN, which is essential for my work. Some websites fail to load at all and are considered unreachable. I ended up having to use my mobile hotspot instead. In today's world, a coffee shop's internet is crucial for professionals and students alike. Because of this, if I wanted to spend several hours working here—or in any coffee shop, for that matter—I would likely choose a different place. It's a shame, as I genuinely enjoy the other aspects of Work in Progress.
We primarily came for the coffee to go, but the place was definitely bustling! According to Yelp, their sandwiches seem to have a good reputation, but I didn't notice many people ordering them during my visit. The seating area felt a bit cramped, except for the outdoor bench which was quite spacious. However, the atmosphere was quite pleasant. I tried the toffee hazelnut latte, which was decent, though a bit sweeter than I usually prefer, so overall, it was just okay. The parking lot is shared with several other businesses, so finding a spot can be challenging depending on how crowded it is.
Came here just to grab a quick drink because we were tired, but taking one look inside, I realized how cute and clean this place looked! Totally a hipster place! Something about the spot felt refreshing. If I was more of a local I probably wouldn't mind coming here to study or do some work! I had the mint matcha and my girlfriend had the lavender latte and both were pretty good (never had a mint matcha before! There's lots of parking but the whole area gets busy pretty quickly so you may need to come at a less busy hour if possible!
what we ordered matcha mint latte AM Burrito Bacon taste matcha mint latte was good. had to mix the drink a bit to taste the mint, but a solid matcha latte. the am burrito was good as well. lots of flavor and portion of the bacon, egg and other toppings. came with some sauces as well~ service server was nice and food came out fast. they also gave a puppacino for my dog!Parking street Notes dog friendly Book a table now
Came on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't busy, but parking took some time since it's located in the Camp. They serve wine, coffee, and food.I got their classic espresso tonic which is made with calamansi lime. They also have one that's made with orange which I will probably try next time. My only complaint is that their lids do not properly fit on the cup so it spilled every time I took a sip.
