I was mid juni for my birthday and was disappointed. eating was badly executed and there was lack of ripe, flair and spice(crisis ox zunge must be refined and not only a large lump on the plate. sticky squash was nicely cooked, but smoked kartoffel puree was blanching and there was much too many pumpkin seeds on the plate must have been about 50 seeds on the teller. pan fried sea bass filet was bland and red pfeffer puree was much too sweet, exaggerated everything else on the plate. a long way to go for this place as one of the best restaurants in liverpool, not even near the top 10.
Fabulous Xmas Eve Lunch in one of our favourite Liverpool restaurants. Good wine list beautifully cooked presented food. Friendly service from knowledgeable staff. It never disappoints Vegetarian options: There is not a wide choice of vegetarian options but what there is are imaginative beautifully presented. Definitely no vegetable lasagne! Tasty, imaginative food. The sauce with the venison dish was amazing. I had to order a foccaccia (possibly the best I've tasted, certainly in the uk). The Cailiflower dish was also fantastic, according to my vegetarian wife. The staff were friendly and attentive. My husband had been given a voucher for here for his birthday last August! The food, wine and beer were all excellent. Friendly helpful staff. It was well worth the wait, we will definitely return.
