Wulflamstuben - Table reservation

Had one night in Stralsund and needed dinner. Could see most of the restaurants was in the old town so headed down there and came to this one first. It is on the main square with a really nice view to a big church as...well as a fountain and people walking by. Lots of interesting things to choose from. It sounded like German classics but there was a twist in the sides. I got pork tenderloin with fried polenta and some other sides, which was really good. My oldest got some fish with hash browns where the home made remolade was amazing and tried juniors chicken nuggets, that were really juicy. The longest wait and the worst fish soup I have ever had !! We waited a decade finally the waiter arrived. We ordered Apfelstrudel and fish soup. The vanilla is not self maded, only some vanilla ice-cream. No nuts in Apfelstrudel and the inside may not cooked properly, feel glutinous. Fish soup is NOT FRESH ! Some salty water with not fresh fish cooked together. There is no flavour but salty. After meal, we waited another decade just to check. Of course we didnt leave any tip.

We visited without reservation and were greeted warmly by a very attentive, pleasant member of staff, who was clearly skilled in her role. The food was highly enjoyable, ample in quantity and very reasonably priced. We would certainly visit again.

Mediocre food and service. The only thing we truly enjoyed about this restaurant was he view of the town hall. I'd only go back for an evening drink.
