They have recently reopened their cafe and now do breakfast. At £12 its not cheap but is worth it as the quality of produce is excellent. The problems start when you don’t want or can’t eat everything on the menu. Last time we ordered individual items for breakfast leaving off baked beens hash browns and tomato only to be charged more than if we had a full breakfast. On questioning this the annoyed chef manager informed me that’s why there is a menu! So today we just ordered the full works and piled the items we couldn’t eat on a third plate in the centre of the table. The shame is the staff are lovely as is the food but what a wasteful policy to adopt. Customer feed back is met if silence y...

Called in for a breakfast before our journey back to Wales. My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict. After a long wait which we didn’t mind, the Eggs Benedict arrived and the eggs were obviously not cooked. We called the waitress and she asked if she could replace it. We refused that because seeing the undercooked eggs had turned his stomach. When we went up to pay, the waitress at the till tried to charge us the full price, and my husband reminded her that he didn’t have his breakfast . However, she said she couldn’t take it off the bill. We said that we were not prepared to pay for a meal we didn’t eat, and asked for the manager, who did remove it from the bill. There were people waiting at t...

Dropped in for lunch, first visit and heard good things. First impression was good as they had a really good choice of music playing in the dining area, and we were warmly welcomed. On ordering drinks we were told that, to celebrate a year’s trading, a complimentary drink was included and we enjoyed a brilliant concoction with rhubarb cordial, Prosecco etc. All very good. We both ordered a burger, these arrived with perfectly cooked and seasoned chips, great relish and a bowl of home made coleslaw. It was great, very nicely prepared and service to match. This will become a regular place I hope!! Thank you for making us welcome.
