I came here for my birthday, I was really looking forward to it because this place used to be amazing. I asked for a cocktail as previously this place had amazing cocktails. I was told that they are not doing cocktails and that they had no spirits. I asked if a cocktail could be made out of something. It turned up in a margarita glass and not filled to the top, there was bits floating in the glass it also tasted dreadful. Amber G review in our opinion is utter rubbish, just someone finding reason to moan over nothing. We were the couple who came in and we were told at the counter that the card machine isn’t working and that we could bank transfer or cash if we wanted to, which wasn’t a problem. I came here with my boyfriend and bought a bubble tea drink as i really like them but the other shop i’m town was closed. It took them about 10 minutes to prepare it when there was no other people around and as they were preparing, they brought out a chinese takeaway tub of boba pearls that weren’t even hot. Just sat in the tub. Didn’t think anything of it though and waited until it was ready. They handed it over and i was quite happy due to the size of the cup, you were getting a lot for your money. How is this place open ? This restaurant WAS the place to go and eat and you’d be lucky to get a table. We decided to go and was shocked that this place was empty BUT soon after walking in we came to understand why, the place needs a good deep clean ! Dirty tables etc. When the food came out we could tell this is not the same Xen standards it used to be, food was dire and we did regret going in here and spending money I was actually panicking that we was going to get poorly after eating in here as we read the reviews on our way home both on here google reviews.
We opted for the lunchtime meal deal for takeout at this restaurant. We decided to order beef noodles, but were disappointed to find that our takeaway tub was barely half full. My portion only had five small pieces of beef, while my husband's had six. Furthermore, they forgot to include our prawn crackers, which we only realized after we had started eating. In addition, we also ordered the vegetable dumplings, which cost nearly £6 and consisted of just four small dumplings. We left feeling very dissatisfied and felt that it was a complete waste of our money.
I went out for dinner tonight with my friend, and I am thrilled to have discovered XEN restaurant in Truro. We ordered starters and mains, and were blown away by the incredible prawn toast, delicious pork ribs, and perfectly cooked noodles. The food was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.
Ordered a delivery 5pm at 7 40 on a Tuesday night not a busy time,driver phoned he was lost. I'm a disabled elderly person that had toget dressed and go out to look for him. The meal was cold and 2 hours late. I phoned xen and was promised refund and a voucher. I gave my email address to receive voucher. Not had any reply from Xen or a refund.

Ordered off just eat at 17.05. Estimated delivery 18.35 to 18.55. After ringing at 19.05. They inform me food is going to be a further 40 minutes..yet to arrive. No compensation offered. Absolute joke of a service. Yet to taste the food. Not got high hopes if there this disorganised.
