I recently visited Xiao Chuan Dian Mini Lamb Skewers House in Northern NJ with my college classmates. We indulged in an array of delicious dishes, including the signature lamb skewers and various other grilled skewers. Additionally, we tried the spicy hot pot and some stir-fried dishes. Overall, our dining experience was good, although there were a few noteworthy points to consider.One aspect worth mentioning is that there were two other groups celebrating birthday parties during our visit. The restaurant provides small private booths, which are suitable for groups of up to six people. The only negative thing was: No chicken -1 Star. We were looking forward to it. How could they not have chicken.The good news is: The taste of their food was the best of its kind we have had in the USA. We had only 1 better in Busan, KR. See my earlier review.Atmosphere was cook. We prefer a coal grill, but they handled their own gas and cast iron solution well. The price was ok. Sides were not the best we have in NJ, but still... awesome taste.
Authentic spot for Chinese skewers, decently priced. Our group likes the hot dishes more than the skewers, but the two groups were the same in taste (e.g. all the spicy hot dishes had the same sauce, and the skewers all only had the dry rub for flavor), but the flavors were decent. Love the idea that you can cook skewers yourself. Each skewer is seasoned to perfection. Try their other dishes too it's very tasty northern style Chinese food.Friendly service as well.Reservation strongly recommended. They can get very crowded on weekends.
