This isn’t a proper bakery where they bake their own bread, which disappointed me. It’s prepackaged from a local company and is also sold at the convenience store down the road. I’m sure this place does great hot food (as mentioned in other reviews) but I didn’t try that. I went in at 8.30am on a Saturday and the cake counter was almost empty and the pasties still cooking. I bought two Paradise Slices but wondered afterwards if they were the previous day’s batch as they tasted quite stale, unfortunately. I wish I’d saved my money.
I had a fantastic experience at Y Poptys. The service was exceptional - even though the Belgium bun I wanted was not available on the shop floor, the staff went out of their way to find it for me. The man who served me was engaging and friendly, showing a great understanding of the little things that make a difference. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5.
Visited y Popty this week in the centre of Aberaeron. I suggest you try their Cornish Pastie equivalent, absolutely brilliant, great customer service from Jonathan, a Baker and a very impressive display in the shop of their products. Then eat the takeaway in the park opposite . Congratulations to this great advert for Aberaeron.
Amazing little bakery and such good prices I cannot fault it! Cornish pasties are so tasty! You have to restrain yourself here, believe me! Would recommend to anyone passing. The waterfront is just around the corner with ample seating to enjoy your delights with a scenic view.

This charming bakery in Aberaeron is a must-visit. We always get a pasty, and I highly recommend trying the lamb and mint flavor. They also offer a fantastic variety of breads and cakes.
The food quality at this restaurant is excellent, and the prices are also very reasonable. I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.
Really good bakery!! Best sausage roll I've had in the the uk. Great hot pastries and cakes. Highly recommend
