Context: I lived in Japan, and also lived in New York for a long time (NYC has a lot of great authentic Japanese restaurants). Their Yokohama iekei ramen is great; it's not an easy to find ramen variation. The chicken broth is thick and delicious, though the noodles were overcooked. Their yakitori and vegetable skewers were just ok. The smokiness and char wasn't quite there, and the vegetables lack the juiciness you get when biting into a grilled vegetable. The meat was also a bit on the dry side. The service was good, but when we got there we couldn't open the door.
