I booked a table for two to celebrate our wedding anniversary as this was the venue where we had our reception years ago, so we thought it would be good to return. We have previously returned on a few occassions pre Covid to celbrate...our wedding anniversary and always had a decent meal. However, today was a completely different experience when it clearly states on a menu pan fried salmon, with brocolli etc, is it acceptable to have to hunt down the brocolli and go to the kitchen to ask for it? We were staying in Canterbury and on our way back from a visit to the coast we decided to look for a local pub. The Yew Tree appeared on Google Maps so that’s where we headed. We were delighted! It’s clearly loved by local people...who were very welcoming, it’s dog friendly which is a plus for us, and the food was delicious with fresh vegetables on offer, not just chips. I would definitely recommend.
