We were spontaneous today as a family in the dome restaurant for lunch. It was fantastic. We had the Rumpsteak, the duck, a children's dish and chicken (oriental: . Everything was very delicious. The service was very nice and attentive. Another plus: the restaurant is child-friendly. We had our six-year-old who, of course, had to inspect everything. The highlight for him was that he was allowed to order his lemonade himself : . But also here, thanks to the service that took time to listen to him and also to answer. From the outside this building is just beyond belief. It looks like a huge mosque but was in fact and cigarette factory. The restaurant is way up the top. It is kinda old school, all a little dated but a real experience. TIP: Tip your...waiter when you arrive not when you leave, it makes a difference. The food was traditional and regional, nothing too fancy but plenty to eat and well prepared. Service was good and unobtrusive. There are not may places like this left now. The prices were on the expensive side but still a lot less than you d pay in other places. Wonderful views across the city from way up high. We dined to a beautiful sunset and just loved it. I found the offer very sympathetic. The chairs are very cozy and the distance between the places I find extremely reasonable. There you get in no way the feeling of eating sardines on can evening. Not only the nice staff was the absolute racer during my visit, but also the unique flair. The sections are in a good and saturating league.
I think you'll be more about the great Dresden view than about the food. We thought it would be displayed a little oriental wrong! German cuisine. Half the duck was very dry and lazy, the fish was good! The view is perfect, the operation is very nice! The dome cannot be visited at the moment, but can be viewed (see pictures)

Outlook Service Essen The view is unique, the service was friendly and for every fun to have that food unfortunately only average and the prices too high. Advertising has been professionally handled. We still like to come back, but for a cocktail, coffee and cake or a wine.

We actually didn't eat there just had drinks. But the old tobacco factor aka the mosque is a sight to behold. Plus amazing views over the rooftops of Dresden. a must.
The beer garden with the probably best view over Dresden. The services were beautiful and more attentive than many other excursions. The food was good.
