Yew Tree Inn - Table reservation

This place doesn't live up to it's reputation unfortunately. Went for a meal Thursday evening, and the place was dead. I thought then, this is a bad sign. I ordered the belly pork with mustard mush and braised red cabbage. The mash tasted like it was microwabable mash, there was no flavour is the braised red cabbage it was just sweetness. My fiance had the pie if the day (which the waitress wasn't even sure if they had a pie of the day on? It was mint and lamb. His pie was tiny and not presented well at all! Literally just a square of pastry plopped in top of the pie mix. There was hardly any meat and the gravy was instant gravy. My daughter had the Mac cheese. I'm sorry, but what they serve...

Good pub food. We had roast dinners which were nice, decent size portions. A huge chunk of a decent bannoffi pie for pudding. Service was great and a nice atmosphere. The only thing that let it down was plastic containers of UHT milk for our tea and coffee at the end. I would have expected proper milk. Would recommend though.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend trying either the Belly Pork or the Roast Lamb dishes. The portions are generous and the food is delicious.

I absolutely adore this pub. The food and service are top-notch. It's a charming village pub with a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.
