Was in Helena for vacation and it's always a tradition to visit the York Bar! They have a really good burger but even better atmosphere. If you are looking for an ABSOLUTE GREAT Dive Bar, then this is the place for you. Make sure you bring a one dollar bill to Sharpie your name on it and use their staple gun to put it on the wall. Always a super cool place nestled back in the woods where there is no cell service! A true Montana experience
It is a great place for a burger with friends. We love to go on a day of riding our ATV's and stop at the York bar and grill for a fantastic burger. The ceilings and walls are covered with the decor of dollar bills left by generations of patrons, my grandson left one on a nearby wall and signed it. He can come back in 20 years and find it. Very rustic and log cabin with old historical pictures of the area.Kid-friendliness: Kids love it.
Typical gathering place/watering hole with great burgers, cold beer, full bar. Reminds me of lots places along the roads of America that just have to be experienced. Dollars staples to the walls and ceilings like the Salty Dog in Homer Alaska, Tortilla Flats in Arizona, whatever the name of that place is in Key West, FL...Fun atmosphere. They have high chairs for the little ones too.
fair prices. eating is good, fried pickles are amazing. it's a good barburger. it's a bit dark in there and I wish they had French pommes. the bathroom and tables are clean. they can sign and hang up a $1, which is lovable (even if slightly sticky). it is right next to a cute park with a set of games. this bar facility led to a very moderate experience. the food tasted like drywall. but the drinks were amazing! Maybe because I had a few too many, haha.
Fun bar! Came here for lunch after a hike in trout creek canyon and had the friend cheese curds (some of the best that I’ve had) and a great burger.
Fun little bar/ restaurant up in the canyon. Went with our friends while my husband and I were on vacation. Great burgers!
