This is a fantastic restaurant. I had my first sub there 22 years ago and it was the best I've ever had. I continue to drive 22 miles just to get one, along with other lunch meats and items. I highly recommend it to everyone as the employees have remained the same, showing their dedication. They offer specialty sauces, great steaks, and more. Just be aware that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. This place is truly unique and you'll be lucky to finish the 8-inch Italian sub in one sitting!
I used to love Metzger Franken, but when I went to order my meat today, I overheard one of the employees saying that someone had helped me pick out frozen meat instead of fresh. I was disappointed and decided to take my business to Lafayette Metzger instead. None of the employees were wearing name tags, so I couldn't identify who had made the mistake, and none of them were wearing gloves while handling food.
1. I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff was prompt, well-dressed, and very helpful. I ordered a freezer bundle and was pleased with the variety of options, excellent service, and reasonable price. I will definitely be coming back here to buy my meat. I am looking forward to trying their sandwiches next time. I highly recommend this place and give it a perfect 5-star rating.
