I hesitate to leave a negative review because the staff at the counter is always so friendly. However, the donuts simply don’t measure up to what they used to be when it was a Winchell's donut shop. Sometimes we get lucky and find a fresher batch, but the combination of a single employee working at a time and lower-quality ingredients doesn’t bode well for the overall product. The fruit cream fillings are sparse and disappointing. It's always a delight when the apple fritters are made just right, but those days seem few and far between.
I feel bad giving a bad review because the counter help is always so nice there. But the donuts are inferior to what they had been when it was a Winchell's donut shop. Occasionally we'll catch a better day there. But the single-handed employee staff cheapened ingredients aren't a happy combination for producing a better product. The fruit cream fillings are scanty and pitiful. Always happy day when the Apple Fritters have turned out just right.
I've had great experiences at this place. Although they are often busy, they work quickly and usually serve you in a timely manner. The staff is always friendly. Their coffee is hot, and they always have a toasted bagel with cream cheese ready for me. With two ordering windows and a convenient location right on the way to the freeway, it's a perfect stop.
Hidden gem. Everything fresh and high quality. Healthy or indulgent options. Only downside could be parking seems limited, but everything inside is great including the warm personalities. Book a table now
The donuts from 25am were stale, including the glazed twist and the apple fritter. Honestly, it was disappointing. It's not surprising there's a trash can right by the window!
The donuts are delicious, but this place doesn't actually operate 24 hours, despite what their website and Google profile claim. I called to confirm and no one picked up.
The maple bacon donut was hands down the best I've ever had! I also picked up a few meat lover's burritos for the drive home, and they were HUGE and delicious!
