"I had the most delicious falafel sandwich for lunch today. Yummy. If you are a falafel orphan this is the best in Twin Cities. Too bad there are only 5 stars to rate it!"

As an Arab family, we were eager to try the shawarma at this restaurant, but we ended up feeling disappointed. The portions were incredibly small—quite possibly the smallest shawarmas we’d ever encountered. To make matters worse, half of the filling was pickles rather than meat. It was clear that the restaurant was trying to minimize the amount of food while maximizing the price. I can only give one star due to a couple of redeeming factors: they included fries in the sandwich, which many places often overlook, and the sauce was decent. However, it only took a few bites to finish the entire sandwich, so there wasn’t much to truly enjoy. To add insult to injury, they charged over $10 for jus...

A great find. A few blocks from our house, but a destination place. Not much decoration, but great food, friendly people who work there, and (did I mention? great food. I have eaten falafal all over the world (Middle East, Europe, East Coast, West Coast and they're not all good. The falafal here is excellent spicy, garlicky, not stuffed too much, good sauce, inexpensive. Authentic menu of many hard to find Middle Eastern specialties.

I recently visited Zait and Za'atar with my family and I have to say I found the food very, very tasty! Not only is it halaal, but their fries with Za'atar are a must have! I had the chicken shwarma and the chicken was moist, tender and well seasoned! None of the food was over seasoned or over salted. The front staff we talked to was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. I can't wait to return!

The food was great, but you get extremely small portions for the price you pay. We went here specifically for the baba ganoush that is advertised on their window, but they were out when we went which was super disappointing. I will say that the staff is very friendly and the restaurant itself is very nice on the inside!Food: 3/5 Book a table now

Zait Za’atar is under new management and it shows. Prices have doubled while portions stayed the same. More importantly, the overall quality of the food has gotten worse. The beef shawarma sandwich $14.24) was unbelievably salty and made worse by a stray hair. Unfortunately, this will be my last time at Zait Za’atar.

Everything we tried was amazing- the sampler platter, falafel, and lentil soup were incredible. Very fresh ingredients and you can tell that a lot of care and love goes into the prep. The owner was very kind and gave us samples of their soup. We will be back and are excited to have this gem in the neighborhood!

Best chicken shawarma I've had in MN hands down! I recommend getting the sampler platter to try a lot of the stuff on the menu because it's all amazing. Very generous portions too. Everything from service to flavor was perfect. Already looking forward to my next time there...gotta try the whole menu!!

The falafel was amazing! Way better than other Middle Eastern restaurants in the area. I highly recommend Zait Za’atar if you’re looking for authentic and delicious food at a very reasonable price. Book a table now

Great food and the owner's father was very kind and nice to chat with. I would highly recommend this place for take out or a nice place for a quiet meal with great service.
