I would never recommend this place and seriously question the great reviews. My friend and I went here at 6p. A ma. hastily sat us at one table, dropping the silverware and saying sh*t only to ask us to move time a different table. We ordered artichoke dip, chicken sliders and 2 house salads. After waiting over 30 min our food was all brought at once, the onion rings were burnt, missing batter and cold.the sliders were sloppy, and cold. The cheesy artichoke dip was brown and tasted horrible and the bread was cooked on a dirty grill and had charred flakes of whatever was there before. We asked to pay for our salads and drinks and tipped the only waitress based on what our bill would have been...
If i could give this a negative 10 i would. My friend and i came in at 6 on a sunday. the entire experience was horrible. we were sat at one table, then moved and had to grab our own silverware including what the hostess dropped across the table. we ordered the artichoke dip, 2 house salads and 2 chicken sliders. After 35 minutes our food all came at one. The ranch doesn't taste like ranch but their croutons were good. The artichoke dip tasted nothing like artichoke or cheese. Alarm level: We're not going back. Why should we, if we don't be greeted with a welcome in Zak 's, how many? But instead with a cold, three? This is no way to make a patron, especially if this restaurant is supposed to celebrate its recent opening. Then after the order we learn that they were from trout, the only duck that appealed when reading the online menu. When the server saw my disappointment, she said, We also have salmon. The trout tastes much like the salmon. And that's good? If this is a point of sale at Zak, then Lord knows how bad it would be. We didn't stay around to find out. Bye.
Terrible service! It took an eternity to get a drink at the bar. My food also took forever to arrive, and it was challenging to get condiments once it did. However, the food was quite good. It felt like the staff were more focused on their own activities rather than attending to the customers' needs. Perhaps they were short-staffed, or maybe I should have opted for a table. A friend of mine walked in shortly after I did, and they still received no service. I did notice that the staff was enjoying shots, though. Everyone has off days, so I’ll give them another chance!

Towards the end of our visit, the manager or owner came in to address the situation. Instead of stepping in to help, he chose to address the issue publicly in the middle of the restaurant and then started pouring shots for his staff instead of prioritizing the customers or offering any assistance to Ashley with her tables. I was honestly appalled by both the waitstaff and the management. Ashley truly deserves recognition for her efforts, and I believe she deserves a raise and five stars for her hard work.
We had dinner here for the first time this evening. We can not say enough good things about this restaurant. The food was out of this world delicious. They add all the special extras that elevate food from great to exceptional. Gene is a fabulous host. He is friendly, personable, and goes out of his way to ensure that your dining experience is perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back often. Can't wait to try all their different offerings.
I am so sad this place is closed. When it was up and running full-steam, we always enjoyed our meal. This area needed a sit-down restaurant for brunch to dinner and this place delivered. I still stand by my previous reviews. Their trout was a welcomed delicious surprise and their wings were the best I ever had. I hope the owners don't give up on the restaurant dream. I'm starting to think this location is cursed.
I absolutely love this restaurant! The atmosphere is delightful, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Sarah and Ashley are fantastic, and Monae is such a sweetheart. They all go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience. It's a perfect spot to hang out on the weekends or to grab a bite or a drink after work during the week. I highly recommend it—10/10! I have no complaints at all.

I'm honestly surprised this place has as high of stars. I couldn't even eat my food tonight after waiting over min for it. Not only was it cold and unappealing,what I did try tasted like it was cooked on a dirty grill. There was only 1 server who lost my friend's card and was too busy to stop and look for it. Would never recommend this place.
