I usually visit the Zankou Chicken in Pasadena, which has consistently great food. However, since the Montebello location is closer to me, I decided to try it out. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. My family and I were quite disappointed. Our food took a long time to arrive and was cold when it finally did. Other customers were also voicing their concerns about the wait times. I'm not sure if the staff was just having a rough night, but I'm willing to give this location another chance. Hopefully, my next experience will be much better.
This restaurant was a letdown, and that's the worst feeling. The chicken was incredibly dry, just like the lackluster service from the staff, who appeared indifferent and unresponsive. It seemed like we were given food that had been sitting around for too long. To make matters worse, they wouldn't even consider giving us a simple refund! We usually enjoy Zankou, but this location didn't meet our expectations. If you're seeking a better dining experience, I recommend going to Pasadena or Anaheim instead.

Hello everyone. Zankou chicken is some amazing chicken. I recommend the half chicken combo. This place is popular, so get here early before lunch and dinner. There's plenty of parking outside, but spaces fill up quick. Staff is friendly, and will helpexplain menu items for first time visitors. This location sells Spanish style salsa (Picodegallo). This place is the definition of ghetto. The chicken was as dry as the attitude of the staff. From the employees to the managers, expect to be disappointed. They served us what tasted like old food, and their chicken was extremely dry. They couldn't even provide a simple refund! We love Zankou, but definitely not this location. I recommend staying away from here and consider going to Pasadena or Anaheim instead.
I had a fantastic chicken meal at this restaurant! I went there for a work lunch, and my boss recommended the chicken kebab, which was an excellent choice! The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, bursting with flavor. The hummus was also delicious. I definitely intend to return!
For the past 23 years, we’ve been happily traveling from Anaheim to Burbank, Montebello, and Hollywood just to dine at this restaurant. My kids absolutely adore it, and you can’t go wrong with any dish on the menu. The shawarma, tarna, whole chicken, and kababs are all incredible!

The food is amazing and the service is top-notch. I highly recommend trying the Beef Shawarma plate. I asked for whole wheat pita bread, and the owner promised it would be available on my next visit.
