As of this writing the main picture for this attraction shows a photo of some luscious sushi. This lured me to go there, even though this place is a 40 minute drive from my Praia do Rosa stomping grounds. Well, it turns out that was last year. This year there is no sushi, but thankfully there’s still some nice food to have lunch at this poolside bistro (the place doesn’t open for dinner, though the pizza restaurant next to it does. This is, in my view, the only worthy place to go and have lunch in Ibiraquera during the season. First of all, the location is the best. In the middle of Mevlana Garden, which is a beautiful place by the lagoon, you find the Bistro, nested in close by the pool. The atmosphere is welcoming and very relaxed. The music in the background is just supporting the peace, not disturbing it, which tends too happen a lot of places. Its a place too chill out, rest and take your time too enjoy your meal. Which is absolutely delicious. Today I had a wonderful Sushi Bowl, very tasty and delicate. Yesterday I had the beans rice, with baked pumpkin and tofu salad very nice and filling. It's a nice place to lunch, by the pool of Mevlana Garden and near the Ibiraquera Lagoon. Great place to hang out and to rest by its gardens. Most of dishes are fish based and they're healthy, pretty well done and flavorful. Salad usually are side dishes. Really worthwhile. My wife just love it! Although its dishes are not quite big a couple may split one of them. The place also has craft beer, some wines and sparklings.
When in Ibiraquera, do yourself a favor and visit Zen Bistro! And if you decide to have a dessert—I suggest you do—order apple pie. Theirs is the best you will ever have! Oh, and what to say about the veggie burger? A complete and healthy meal that will make you smile every bite you take. The place and the food made me very happy! Kudos! Much Love
