Excellent! We had a couple of lunches and a dinner at Zev's so far. We can not fault any of the experiences. Freshly shucked oysters, which is hard to find in Toowoomba , juices still remaining. Lovely house baked sourdough. Mains with a variety of different cuisines ingredients coming together gently, tasty, but also immaculately presented. Good selection of wines, go well with the menu. Friendly and attentive service, communicating well with the chef over our questions about the details of the food and wines. I wouldn't normally mention this, but looking at a few reviews put here, the pricing is good as well, comparing the quality and the creativity of the food with similar style fine dini...
Travelling solo and looking for dinner on a Tuesday night what a wonderful find. Fabulous menu and wine list Nebbiolo by the glass is hard to acquire in most of my usual haunts in CBD and Gold Coast eateries. A Four Pillars GnT was most refreshing a great Australian gin that is aromatic and lightly spiced. My chicken breast with Harissa was stunning. Tender and moist with a lovely crunch to the skin. I had to try the dessert bourbon cream with seven seed praline and freshly poached rhubarb the gentle tartness of the rhubarb cut through the praline while the crunch of the praline complemented the smooth subtle bourbon cream. My only regret was that my family were not there to share it with me...
Words can not describe my experience with Zev's Bistro! After my partner organised a private booking for my birthday dinner (my partner and Zev) went above and beyond for a very special dinner with just my partner in a candle lit, beautiful, and relaxed setting. Zev made the experience so very special by giving us not only beautiful food but an experience that I will never forget. The food is cooked with love and dances on your tongue and if you choose Zev to pair each of your meals with a drink to enchance those flavours then, you are in for an even better night highly recommend for any dining choice- whether it's catching up with friends over beautiful food or a special dinner for two! We had dinner at Zev's on Saturday night and had a wonderful time. When I was shown the menu at the B&B we were staying at, I knew I had to eat there. And we weren't disappointed. The food, the service, the ambience was all great. The pork was tender and full of flavour, the modern twist on the scallop chowder was inspired. The cauliflower and the vegetable just amazing. The dessert was like eating chocolate clouds, light but full of flavour. We will be back. The menu is small, innovative and flavoursome. Perfect. Well done to the chefs and wait staff. Make no mistake, the food is first rate. The sevice is brilliant. It costs what it costs. This is not cheap pub tucker. Nice selection of wines. Personally, I like beer and when I go out, I like to have my favourite beer which is XXXX Gold. Not Moo Brew or Asahi. XXXX Gold os one of the best sellers in Australia which should surely make it a premium beer. Love your food but if I can't have my favoured drink then I probably won't be back.
Went for dinner with a friend last night. Food was delicious. Pork belly had amazing crunch but still superbly succulent. My friends salmon was sensational also. Better still was the exceptional service our server Ainslie was fantastic. She had great knowledge of the food, was fun friendly importantly was intuitive enough to be attentive when needed, without constantly interrupting. Highly recommend the food service.
Wow this is a find! Great food complimented with fantastic service and a wine list that while small is packed full of quality . We look for good that we would not prepare at home and found it at Zev's. Innovative and uses a wide variety of produce. We have been dining out in Toowoomba for over 30 years and the meal was about the best we have had. Well done Zev's!!
