Zhug - Table reservation

We came here with 5 people for a birthday dinner. There is a nice vibe in the restaurant with high ceilings and a kool looking decor. We came at about 5:30 pm and the restaurant was pretty full. The staff is pleasant and friendly. They do have a large vegan /vegetarian based menu. We started off with 2 different hummus to share. One was the nigella seed, and the other one was the harissa peanut. The hummus presentation was amazing. Each came in decent sized bowls and were more than enough for the 5 of us to share. I literally keep coming back here. I'm probably here at least once a month, and if I have out-of-town visitors, I always bring them here. The place is just so cute and the perfect vibe to have good food and conversation. Service is always quick and friendly. And of course, the food is always fantastic. The dishes I order every time include the leks and feta, nigella seed burnt onion hummus, brussels sprouts, and the shrimp. I try other things here and there and everything has just been wonderful!

I could go after the pandemic and it was really a special meal. they had a good amount of vegan options and a few that could be veganized. the laeks were from this world. it was a little loud, but this is not just a problem with takeout now. I appreciate their engagement for masks and social distancing. I took a couple of times and it was always delicious.

Fairly pricy and a bit noisy on Friday night (both the music and patrons). Fantastic food and service, though!
