This was a quick google search by my husband as were in the area but we were not disappointed. Staff were very polite, the food was reasonably priced. The flavours were amazing, the best thing was that no two dishes were the same, usually you go to places like this and all the food is food and you try from your friend/partners plate to see what theirs is like and you think it's really nice but it's the same spices. But I can see they cooked everything really well and with thought, they cook each dish if it's with rice they will do the rice accordingly to match the rest of the meal. Very very impressed. Water immediately arrived at the table and service was attentive friendly. Owner wanders front of house enquiring with patrons about the food and service and builds a friendly atmosphere. Had an enjoyable banquet meal on a Saturday evening at the Zikrayat. The falafel & skewered meats were very good; as was the Turkish delight & Lebanese coffee. The bread could have been better.The place was bustling, and highlight was the vivacious belly dancer engaging different patrons to dance. Remi the owner host was attentive & charming. Prices at $55 per person is reasonable. Recommended
We started with the Hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Labneh & Tabouleh Salad served with bread, delicious; the Baba Ganouj and pickled vegetables. All very very tasty. Lamb Shawarma and Chicken Rice Pilaf with Minced Lamb. Our friends ordered a vegetarian meal and scallops. They also enjoyed their meals. The staff were attentive and courteous. $10 cockaged. Zikrayat has a large menu, with some quite varied tastes and flavours. I went with 3 friends and we all loved it! The cabbage rolls, Moussaka, and chicken pilaf were amazing. At first glance, it looks a little expensive - $12 for dip, but the servings are fairly generous.4 women shared 2 entrees and 3 mains and couldn't finish it. Friendly staff.
Family gathering of 6 for a low key birthday lunch. We chose the banquet with meat which was more than enough for even the biggest eaters. Included dessert and coffee. Traditional Lebanese food was excellent and service was great and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
The owners' hospitality was great. The food was good. Typical Lebanese food: dips, bread, etc. with mains that were ok. The decor was an interesting mix of middle-eastern pieces. Overall, an agreeable ambiance. You can park on Glenferrie Road.
Great atmosphere with very friendly staff. Lots of choices to try and all of the food was first class with very generous servings. Looking forward to a return visit.
