What a treat! Led through the restaurant to the garden on a lovely warm evening. Quite out of the way down a back street, but only ten minutes walk from the campsite we were on.Aspic foie gras prune was out of this world. Merlan good and lamb dish excellent.English spoken waitress more than happy to expand on the description of the dishes.The ONLY fly in the ointment was having to choose pudding with the main order, not knowing if we'd make it thru. We barely did and it arrived promptly after mains when we really weren't ready for it and hardly did it justice... although Mrs. Flyingbluedog intends to replicate the almond stuffed apricots and strawberry sorbet this weekend!!
This is a must visit for couples who want a small restaurant with wonderful service, atmosphere and cuisine, not somewhere I would take the kids though. They have a small menu which changes every few days depending on what ingredients the proprietor/chef can source locally, which if you have ever seen the market in Versailles, means he can pick and choose. The wine list is huge and has something for everyone. Do have the glass of Gewurtztraminer Vendage Tardive for an apperitf, it like everything else on the menu is delicious. I love the big open fire too, perfect on a winters night!
j’adore ce restaurant. un petit nombre de couverts pour une grande qualité et un prix raisonnable pour ce spiegel de food. 42€ le menu du soir. l’été, le service se fait sur une petite terrasse à l’arrière du restaurant. a chaque fois que nous y allons, c’est une découverte. vu le faible nombre de places il faut réservé.
