I had dinner with friends in September 2016 at Zum Fegerer, the atmosphere is quiet and calm, there's many dinning rooms in a wide house. The employees are very nice and kind, they smile, joke and make effort to understand foreigners.Regarding food, there's lot of different choises, and speciallities with "chanterelle mushrooms". Plates are full.My concerns is about "tartare" : I ate (hate ?) one as main course and it was the worse I had ever eaten. No taste, no worcester sauce, no pepper and a bad quality of the beef.So it's a very nice place... if you keep german specialities.

fantastic restaurant, tasty eating friendly and dedicated staff. my man and I have celebrated our wedding here in the vaulted cellar with 30 people. our desires were met at 100. from preparation to decoration to eating and service too high time, the coward has prepared us and our yesterday an uncomplicated, unforgettable and beautiful evening. a great point for me as vegetarian was the great selection of vegetarian and past means of life. we can recommend this restaurant only to the diner, as well as to party and return in any case.

I went there yesterday night for a late dinner but the very friendly staff advised that dining is possible to 10pm. I ordered a typical local dish of Ox cheeks. The serving was ok but the gravy which came with it killed all the taste of the well cooked meat. Also the accompanying potato mesh was very tasting mostly of garlic. Otherwise this Restaurant has a nice setting and seems to be well known also for the quality of wines served.

This eatery came recommended from a coworker local to the area. It was a nice walk from my hotel (12min) and all I can say is WOW! Great service, friendly and efficient, excellent food - try the schnitzel, outstanding, and the recommended kellerbier is fantastic. Overall, highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dinner at reasonable prices with great German ambience. Book a table now

Zum Fegerer is nice and warm place to eat good. Especially cellar in downstairs is good place to spend time even with bigger crowd. Food is excellent; try garlic cream soup, it is so good! Service is also excellent and you feel welcomed!

original, very cozy restaurant right next to the value to see aschaffenburger closed. good German kitchen. but especially deliciously prepared e.g. cartoffelbrei with crumbs, liver with grapes.

It is in a very beautiful old building with nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the prices are too high but the quality is only average. They serve no name wines for unseasonably high prices.
