We were taken out by our hosts and were meant to have gone to a different restaurant. We mistakenly ended up in this one. The food was excellent and the service was very good, especially considering they were not expecting us. I had a vegetable soup starter which was tasty. Second course consisted of a salad in an unusual dressing. I wasn't expecting to like it but surprisingly it was very nice. My main was trout with vegetables and potatoes and I could have had another. The only let down was the dessert. Despite expensive, we will gladly return to this restaurant of excellent quality & service in Switzerland. Zurich ones don't match the quality of this small town's passionate chef.Who personally check with his guests on the feedback of his dishes.Book your table way in advance for wild venison season in winter!Short train ride from Zurich main station to Weinfelden.

Ich war nicht zum ersten mal im Löwen. Das Essen war wie immer einfach nur lecker und so gut. Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen.
