"Having eaten here on numerous occasions in 2015 we returned with family and friends to dine here again. We were not disappointed. There are a number of menu options including the senior one which was extremely good value, Many of the options come with a salad from the salad bar and the main course portions are excellent. The staff are friendly and professional. There is a lovely terrace for outside dining when weather permits."

Was in the next village up during a mini trip to see Liverpool playing in Basel. Had a small car and discovered this place! Everything about it was amazing. Beautiful building inside and outside. A beautiful waitress who gave us English menus after we had seen the fight with the Germans. For the beef tenderloin two person-acter meal that the cook brings and Carves at your table! Wow! I think a bargain with 64 euros! The Veg served with him was also amazing! And rinsed with 2 pints of ' Lasser' beautiful drop of beer! Can't speak very enough of this perfect traditional German restaurant!

The table I got was at the bar/kitchen window, loud and cold. The phone rings right behind me, the lady was very gentle, the over didn't even look at me while he noticed was very disappointed by my dinner. Nothing in my plate was fresh, the whole meat was dry and boiled. When I take the lady, the cook came to the table and told me it wasn't true. Yes, of course, the goulash cannot be made on site, so he told me the mushrooms were fresh!!!! You order a mixed meat plate and the MUSHROOMS are fresh? Do not waste your money, there is a rewe market 500mt of it, better food and cheaper.

We came from the thermal bath, we were a little suspicious that we could land in a tourist trap, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were quickly shown our table and given the menu. There was a wide selection of fish, mussels, to play almost all menu choices accompanied by a salad buffet and quite a lot including soup as well. Our choice (hare with Spätzli and Chanterelle mushrooms) was very tasty and laborious. The service was fast and courtesy and the prices were justified by the quality.

From the outside the establishment is inviting, resembling a genuine bierhaus. The menu features the traditional German fare that you expect from such restaurants. You soon discover that very few things are really cooked in house and that most of the dishes are reheated (possibly precooked elsewhere) and that the quality resembles that of an industrial canteen. Prices in line with those of real restaurants. Service hectic during week-ends.
