Zum Stöger e.U. - Table reservation

Enjoyed an excellent dinner here following my searching for a restaurant on TripAdvisor near my hotel (Hotel Ibis). Sat outside on a lovely evening and reviewed the menu which was in English. Had the beef broth soup with liver dumpling which was excellent followed by the boiled beef. The presentation was excellent and the portion was a good size. My son had the beef fillet which was really good cooked medium rare with roast potatoes and vegetables. Finished with the mousse au chocolat which tasted amazing. An excellent choice for our evening meal.

Restaurant Stoger was a place we saw and figured it looked very Austrian - Hey take a chance ! Had to try the schnitzel naturally as it was our first night in Vienna after something like 30 years. Sadly rather dry although of generous proportions, the service was fairly lackluster. A number of single diners presumably having their evening meal after a day's work absorbed in their reading (electronic and printed) Looks like two brother running the restaurant. Certainly not expensive. Since discovered better options in Vienna.

We were told this was a lovely traditional Viennese restaurant with good food and we were not disappointed. The ambience was great and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and ample and the suggested wine was very good. We had a really special meal at this restaurant. Thank you.

This place was an unexpected treat after our first choice was fully booked. We were given a warm welcome and the food was great. Recommended.

Awesome awesome .I take to every one suggestion for pleasure food and little cost . Of course test shenitzel or steak
