Just outside the restaurant, a few steps into the park is where they set up tables for outdoor seating. See the pic I posted for a view of this. It was a beautiful July evening, therefore made for a perfect evening to dine outside. I started with the avocado soup and had the pork medallions as the entrée. Soup was fresh and light. Pork medallions were served with a mushroom cream sauce and the pork was fairly tender and lean. Service was top notch. Bathrooms extremely clean and spotless. Restaurant was recommended by a hotel staff member after we asked for a traditional German restaurant. Would definitely return.

Booked in advance, arrived on time, waited 15 minutes just to get a menu. Using 37 different fonts in a single menu is not cool, just stupidly confusing and childish. Not asked until a futher 10 minutes had elapsed whether we would like anything to drink. After 45 minutes someone took a food order. After 90 minutes we got food. There was no apology for the delay, so naturally there was no tip either. My chanterelle mushroom omelette was terribly over-salted. My two companions liked their main courses. We did not bother with desert.

Zum Wasserweibchen is a local restaurant visited by both locals and tourists. The food is authentic and well prepared. It's my favorite in Bad H and I have not been disappointed yet. Only thing is the wine list...they don't serve serious wine. It's drinkable, but in a wine country like Germany and in this area I would like some more wine to choose from

Short review- this hidden gem alongside a few beautiful churches is the best German restaurant in Bad Homburg. The staff are friendly and the eating is family style. What sets them apart is the great food, cooked to order. Be prepared to wait a bit for it, but you will not be disappointed!
