Zur alten Schmiede

Passed by Naumburg so often with the ICE, knew of Uta von Naumburg, and I had to see her. One of the next accusations to the Naumburg Cathedral (Kathedral) is the guest house Zur alte Schmiede, in history steep but with very nicely renovated accusations and a very nice restaurant. Had a very nice meal, accompanied by excellent wines from the surrounding vineyards, as well as a very good sleep. Wilde Zicke reminds me of the 50s and 60s in Germany when light railways were still part of the public transport system. I was alone at the restaurant. I had the hare terrine and a vegetarian stew with potatoes, squash and wild mushrooms. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly. The atmosphere was really interesting. They kept the old fireplace (forging) where they would forge things. The waiter had to revive the fire a few times, draw on different things and pump things. That was pretty nice.

It was just a short stop to some more Müller Thurgau without reservation, no problems, just a warm welcome from a waiter and as a nice sofa place in the salon for 4 people. It is a beautiful, stylish hotel, the restaurant and menu lokk very good! Our next stay in Naumburg will be the Hotel Zur alte Schmiede! Thanks again to the restaurant staff!
