I've had to wait a while to do this review. There are two places of the same name,one a restaurant, the other a beer garden but Trip Advisor's set up can't cope with that. I have already reviewed the beer garden which was a great...experience. The restaurant is equally good comfortable,relaxing interior supports really good food. The balkan meat platter was superb. Pizzas and pastas are very good also. One problem, make sure staff understand what you are ordering as we had a wrong dish delivered which our waiter was reluctant to admit was his error and would not change. Not acceptable. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Decor is cheap and dated. The menu includes Italian standards and some local specialties such as fish or spaetzle. We had pizza and kaesspaetzle (not bad,) and local fish (medicine). Problem: We were seated inside due to... terrible weather. The waiters wore their masks around their chins or, at best, just over their mouths. The air was pretty stuffy, no windows open. We opened the window when a group of people were seated right next to us at the table, absolutely no distance between me and the next guest. There were plenty of tables, e.g. behind us. We felt very uncomfortable and decided to leave the desert we had already chosen and fled.
Walking past the harbor in Lindau, we found this restaurant nestled in the corner. It had nice sidewalk tables along with a large inside seating and a very good menu with great prices. They had all the typical German favorites plus pizzas and even a...senior portion menu. Lunch was great, the service was very good so we decided to go back in the evening for dinner. Lindau during a weekday evening is quiet but the restaurant filled up, so other people must have come to the same positive conclusion. I recommend it as a typical non.touristic but worthwhile dining option on the old island.
We chose the place as it was quieter looking and tucked away from the masses on the waterfront. Pleasant service. Had a delicious salad with loads of dressing and local white fish. My other half enjoyed his turkey cutlet and chantarelles. We also tried and...liked the light beer offering (40% less alcohol). Our only complaint was that a couple of vicious, biting bugs made their home under our table and started attacking our ankles towards the end.

Beautiful biergarten, minutes walk from lakefront Tower. Great menu with spit roast chicken, meat loaf that is like Ham Steak and to kick it all off Goulash soup to die for with home made bread. A pleasant place to sit and dine,drink and talk on...a good weather evening. Our waiter, Peter was funny , helpful and really efficient. Great beer and Radler( shandy) and very ressonable prices. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Recommended.
My wife and I stopped in hoping for a great romantic dinner. The interior is nice but somewhat generic Italian style in Germany. We did enjoy the good beer collection and the pizzas were really tasty. The Mediterranean salad we ordered was really a German...salad with olives on it. Also frustrating to me was that they don't accept credit cards, causing a long walk to a hard to find ATM. Just so-so experience.
Little gem of a restaurant quite cozy in decor. Food very good and lots of it. Very cheap and a good choice on the menu, almost too much as it was difficult to choose! We started with garlic bread, followed by turkey for me... and a roast beef for Steven. We finished the meal with apple strudel which was delicious. Would you recommend stopping here for a good filling meal.
Really nice restaurant just off the promenade in Lindau. I eat at this restaurant quite often when visiting Lindau, the food is delicious, the staff is professional and there are so many options it is hard to choose what to eat, The menu has Italian,...Croatian, and German options. All of them have been delicious. The pumpkin soup in season is great.

This large beer garden style outdoors was perfect for lunch (went there twice). Had the meatloaf, gravy, and potato salad. Not fancy, but tasty food. Very good potato salad! Great place to relax and have a beer. Service was very good!
