My husband, myself, and our teenage twin daughters went to this restaurant for dinner. The steak pie was just okay, nothing special. I was disappointed by the frozen vegetables and thought fresh vegetables would have been much better. My daughter had a chicken breast with packet gravy poured over it, which I found disappointing. I believe it would be more professional for the chef or cook to make homemade gravy and serve fresh vegetables. The owner was seated in the next booth and seemed indifferent to what was happening around them. The menus also need upgrading as they were falling apart and seemed tacky.

What it lacks in style and ambience you would be forgiven for thinking you were in the office canteen! It more than makes up for in service and food. Friendly staff, good menu choice, child friendly and the Steak Pie, which came recommended, was absolutely delicious. Make sure you enter the premises hungry the portions are generous! Next time I want steak pie, I know where to come. Booking wasn't necessary on our visit but it was busy.

During our canal holiday, we decided to visit this restaurant after it was recommended by a staff member at the boatyard. The food was exactly as described - simple and delicious, with generous portions that offered great value. However, the outdated lounge area gave off a 1970's vibe, which slightly detracted from the overall ambiance of the place. Despite this, it was still a good, honest and affordable dining option.

I stopped by the Bridge Inn for lunch and was greeted with friendly service and delicious food. The menu featured traditional pub grub with generous portions. I will definitely be returning in the future.
