"We decided tonight for the Weingut Diefenhard (Straußwirtschaft or the South Besenwirtschaft). Fortunately, near 20 Km we have some of them offer good and cost-effective food. In the fireplace in Hochheim we had learned from the winery and the ostrich economy that there should also be good and cost-effective food, yes it would be the sister of the Gutsschänke Pfaff Zum Kamin . The winery is located in the fields Hochheim towards Flörsheim, for us it was the first visit. From the last row of houses there is also a sign of this winery. There were many free parking on one side and on the property tonight. There were 2 tables in the guest room and some places at the tables. Outdoors were also some free places, but we prefer to find in the guest room at a free table. The table was covered with a green paper table runner, a small clove flowerpot a small sand-filled glass with a tealight. Also a salt and pepper shaker was on the table. The guest room is beautifully bright and everything looks very clean. In the open are most places of beer table dishes. Since the menu was already on the table, we could already choose our dishes. There were also some asparagus dishes on a special page. For drinks, the woman chose a white herd from fine pastries from 0.2l to 2.90 € and I chose a dry wine choir from 0.4l to 3.30 €, which were also quite fleeting, but for the food we had left us some time to choose from. We then agreed to the appetizers on a part of the hand cheese with music (4.90 €, which we wanted to share. As a main dish, the woman has baked a asparagus toast with raw ham and cheese (7.50 €), and I had opted for a small part of tartaric acid with egg (4.80 €). The service force came to pick up the food after a reasonable waiting period, and I had given her the indication that the hand cheese was considered an appetizer and only after that our main food should come. But that wasn't so hard. We were both hand cheese at the appetizer and my wife's asparagus toast was already served. But that's why I had two cheeses, there were three. It wasn't so bad with me because I had a cold main dish. The hand cheese and tartar were each served with fresh black bread and a packed part of butter. Unfortunately, it is like most locals that the butter portions come from the refrigerator and are so badly distributed on the fresh bread. The hand cheese was placed in a marinade with onions and had a pepper powder decoration. I wouldn't have needed the decoration, something caraway would have been better here. But the cheese was beautiful and tastes good for both of us. My wife was also very satisfied with her asparagus toast with cheese and was also sufficient for her from the part. The planner I had seasoned well with pepper and salt was also served fresh. With the fresh bread it was very good. The white fruits and my wine choir had tasted us very well. The service then apologised for the early supply of the hot main food and offered us a stamina (Willi, which we had also assumed. It is served here by a good and friendly service staff. We'll be back."

Gutsschänke Pfaff Zum Kamin

"Since we wanted to settle in a restaurant in Kostheim this evening, but there was no room here, we came to Hochheim to the Gutsschänke Pfaff “Zu Kamin”. I remember the registration of the opening hours from 02.03., the way from Kostheim to Hochheim is not far. There was also a parking lot in a side street, even if the umbrella had to be used in rainy weather. We told the waiter if he has a free space for both of us, and there's an open table. So we had a whole table for both of us, but as it is in an ostrich economy, don't stay alone and you already sat 3 beautiful ladies at the table. The ladies told us you wanted to return here because it is not as loud as in other outer industries. If you looked around like this, you can see some well-known faces that felt comfortable in the first arms. It is all rustic and an open fireplace brings pleasant warmth into the room. The menus and drinks were already on the table and so we could choose the drinks and dishes. Beverages were selected, and shortly after that we had to decide some time for dishes up to drinks. But I immediately asked if the carvings fried in the pan or come out of the frit – they came out of the pan was the answer. As beverages we had the Riesling half-drum 0.2l to 2.50€ and the wine choir dried 0.4l to 3.40€. For today there was a cauliflower soup and sprinkled with late zle on the special side. I had decided to make a carving with bread and sauce at €6.20, my wife had opted for a baguette with press head at €3.60 as she should follow a dessert. The order was then added shortly after the beverage service and served after a pleasant waiting period. The Schnitzel – 2 small was served with a small shrimp and a sauce with fresh gray bread. For the woman there were her ordered baguette also with a small salad dressing as well as capers and cucumbers. I had nothing on the attic, juicy and tasted very well with the panade and roasted. Ms. Baquette would like to have warmed something, but otherwise she was satisfied with the taste of the baguette with the press head. The portions were sufficient for both of us because the dessert should still sound in the female sex. As dessert there was a waffle with cream and warm Sauerkirchen, yes that was for you the Bouncy on the i – leak and good. We were very pleased with the service and the friendly team that had asked if everything was good or something was missing. Unfortunately, there are only short opening hours for the Gutsschänke, but we are happy to return."

"The winery, which has been operating for three generations, is managed by the brothers Beate and Peter Bunk – Hirschmann. Their vineyards are located at the locations Hell, Hofmeister, Kirchenstück, Reichestal and Stein. 80% Riesling and 20% Spätburgunder vines are cultivated on a total area of about 30000 m2. The division in operation is so divided, Peter is responsible for the vineyards and cellar work and his sister Beate for the cuisine of the outer economy and marketing. For a long time we had revisited this outer economy in the old town of Hochheim. In the entrance area of the court and thankfully some guests still sat in their food and drinks, but that was a bit too cool for us for Friday night. We had left the interior in the guest room. Tonight we were able to pick up the places, as many guests had taken a place in the fresh air in the outdoor area. The food and drink cards were already on the table where we already picked up the drinks. The service was kindly welcomed and asked for our drinks request. We had both opted for a wine choir (0.4l per 4 € once dry and once half-dry/fine hearts. After serving drinks, we had expressed our wishes to the serviceman. It was for my wife the cheese salad with grapes cooked ham, walnuts and baguette with butter at 6.50 €. For me there was a frying band with roasted egg, roasted potatoes and a small supplement of herbal salad at 8.80 €. My wife tasted her cheese salad very well with a slightly acidic sauce. My Friendelle was filled with some carrot pencils and spiced well with garlic. The roast potatoes could have been on the plate for me with less roasted fat, but otherwise it tasted both of us. We have a large number of outdoors in our region or in other areas of berries where you can eat and appreciate well."

Regional International Specialties, Specialities, Schnitzel, German, Cheese

"The Aussiedlerhof is located at the beginning of Massenheim when you come from Wicker. The path leads through the fields to the winery – Winzerhof Kahl. It is a winery with a bright decor, a beautiful winter garden closes and then goes into the garden area. Among Linden trees, beer tables are also well-stocked in beautiful weather. (But you need to be careful when you go through the guest room into the winter garden and then into the garden area that you do not go to the stumbling traps of doors – sliding doors) There is also a swing frame with two swings and a slide for outdoor children. The outdoor area is fenced with horses with a subsequent pasture. Opening hours are from Sunday 15 – 23 and Monday – Tuesday from 16 to 23 hrs. The kitchen offers food until 21:30. There are certainly many regular guests who move through all ages. The services are friendly, but unfortunately we could not remember everything and were easily overwhelmed. We were forgotten in the outdoor area ashtrays and my second wine choir (small) too. Then I have them myself, the host said they were going to the house. The drinks menus were on the table and you could already pick up the drinks until the service came with the reception. Since we were in this winery for the first time, we had studied the menu. After ordering, the beverages came quite fleeting. We chose smaller portions as we could look at the adjacent tables until ordering. For dinner we had a pancake with minced meat and champignon filling baked with cheese at 6.50 € and a huge roast sausage at 4 € Pommes at 2 €. The pancake with meat filling was seasoned to my wife, the PEP missed, the mushrooms were from the can. She tasted so much. I had a bratwurst, but there was a huge sausage I tasted good and was not Majoranlastic, the pommes were well roasted, drained, well seasoned with pepper salt. Beverages: Masseheimer Schlossgarten, Riesling Kabinet semi-dry 0.2 l to 2 €, Massenheimer Schlossgarten, Riesling Spätlese semi-dry 0.2 l to 2.60 €, Weinschorle trocken 0.4 l to 3€ u. a wine choir dry to 0.2l for umme – otherwise 2 €. The wines were available on the menu for us. Wine choir from 0.2 0.4l in 5 variations from 2 3.50€ 3 different wine cult 0.1l to 2.50€ in white, rose and red. 8) Thanksgiving wine white from 0.1 – 0.2l from 1.20 – 2.60 € 1 ice wine white 0.05l to 3.80€ 3 different white herbal wines from 0.1 – 0.2l to 1.20 – 2.60€ 4 different red wines from 0.1 – 0.2 to 1.50 2.50 € The menu offers Schnitzel with different sauces, kid carvings, chicken breast, various sausages etc. We felt very comfortable at the table with other guests."
