If you are ever in Alameda. This is a must go. Bring a designated driver because you are going to leave here fat and happy, that is, unless you are a vegan needing attention every five minutes. The bartender was amazing, food was amazing, owner still works here and is friendly and not jaded and amazing. The restaurant actually has a bus staff that keeps the tables appropriately cleared. What we ordered: Starting with our drinks: Plack Ties. Appetizers: the wings, dry rub, tasty, the count was only five so order a couple of plates. The chowder and other seafood dishes are California 5, but a New England 3 (sorry for the east Coast snobby statement)...but truly some of the best seafood I have...
Almost everything here is so darn yummy. The bar pizza is happiness on a plate, the wings platter is superb, a very fun cocktail menu, great fish chips, a fun brunch menu, and more. It's so nice to have a place that's local, reliable, open late-ish, andhomey. The only drawback is that the patio can get pretty crowded and it's not the most covid-conscious place around indoors.Drinks can be pricey, so be careful if the well-made cocktails start flowing. The crowd is more on the local side, it's a greatplace for birthdays, date nights, or a solo night.

We went here after visiting the USS hornet. Its got a local dive bar with decent food and pretty decent drinks. Love the vibe and it’s quite vibrant with a lot of folks having a good time.
This place has a fantastic atmosphere! The bartenders and servers are super friendly. The smoked salmon is amazing, and the clam chowder is the best you'll find in the East Bay!
We had a group of six and checked out a couple of nearby brunch places on a Sunday morning. Everywhere else had long lines, so we decided to stop by 1400 Bar.
Good quality, a bit loud as the night progresses (it is a bar). Service is very good and the lamb shank could not have been prepared better.
