"One of the few places that isn’t connected to Greene King (we think) but apart from the good keg beer choice, the ladies who served us were both polite and accommodating. Couldn’t fault it."

This microbrewery is fantastic, but it can be difficult to get a table due to its small size! However, if you are able to snag one, it is a wonderful afternoon spent in the sun with a variety of beers to choose from. The staff is all friendly, and while there are no food options available, you are allowed to bring your own - which is perfect, especially on market day when there are plenty of food stalls nearby. The only challenge may be convincing your partner to leave! Enjoy your time at this charming spot.

We decided to visit the restaurant late on a sunny Thursday afternoon, when it was just warm enough to sit on the sun terrace. I had a couple of gin and tonic cocktails, while my partner tried a couple of beers. The restaurant has a great selection of drinks, including beers that can be enjoyed on-site or taken away. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and even gave us recommendations on where to go for dinner.

Down a narrow alley from the market, this bar is a real find. So many real ales, ciders, gins and other drinks, including hot chocolate and coffees. Outdoor seating. Very popular and busy, you may have to wait for a table, but worth it.
