Our fourth extended trip to France and this the worst dining experience we have ever had. What an expensive disappointment. You have heard the traditional story of the rude, surly waiter. We have never experienced it in France until this overrated establishment. We reserved a table for six three days in advance but we're rudely greeted by the waiter who was in fact our waiter for the evening. While we read and speak a little French we asked for help with a few words. The evening went downhill from that moment. Slow service, iike a bottle of expensive wine that sat unopened for 15 minutes. As part of a 'Gourmet Half Board ' deal, we dined here on 8 out of 12 nights. We were unaware, until arrival at the hotel, that the restaurant closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights requiring a transfer to a nearby Hotel Restaurant but nevertheless enjoyed the meals which we were given. On occasion, this menu changed little from day to day (although exceptions were made on request), but we considered that the meals which we had were of a good standard. The staff of both the restaurant and hotel were friendly and helpful without exception.
Fabulous meal. The mushroom ravioli was stunning the flavours were fantastic and i could of eaten it again as a main meal. My husband and I both had the steak which was beautifully cooked. To finish off with we had the souffle which was to die for. The service was fantastic and the lady serving us was lovely and very friendly . Would recommend it and will come back again when visiting Vannes.
We have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and it never fails to impress. The quality of the food is excellent and often innovative with surprising combinations of flavours which work. not the horrible clashes met with in some restaurants. The special menu lunches are very reasonably priced and evening dinner is good value. A good wine list and attentive service.
