I hate to write bad reviews but this restaurant did not live up to my expectations. Had it been better I wouldn?t mind the $110 per person price tag. (I did write privately to the restaurant in Resy but they didn?t respond I want to mention before I go on that the service was excellent. We were 4 people and all did the price fixed menu. To start, the bread was ok. I didn?t care for it, but everyone else ate it. The ?salatim? were fair. Nothing like their other restaurants. So unremarkable that I don?t even remember what they were. Then we got the first course. I had the matzo ball soup (as did 2 others . It was definitely a hearty soup with lots veggies and some chicken, but the over powerin...

It was evident that the staff was focused on promoting the most expensive prix fixe menu. The only mention of their signature dish, the short ribs, was on this prix fixe menu, as they had been intentionally omitted from the list of regular entrees. As a result, everyone at our table felt pressured to choose the prix fixe short ribs. However, one person opted for a different entree, and after the appetizers were served, everyone else received their short ribs, while the one who ordered differently was left with nothing to eat. Getting the waiter’s attention was a challenge. Whenever we did manage to reach him, his response was always, "I’ll ask the kitchen." After 45 minutes of waiting—even...

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and we were truly impressed! Our server, Jasper, paid incredible attention to detail and added many personal touches to our dining experience, making us feel like there was no better place to celebrate a birthday. The food was absolutely delicious! We’re usually big drinkers, but we barely finished two drinks each because the food was just too good to divert our attention. As everyone raves, the short ribs are indeed outstanding, but the challah rolls are a special treat as well. This place is definitely a must-visit!

Absolutely try the short rib—it's incredibly delicious! It's fresh, expertly prepared, and pairs perfectly with their sauce, vegetables, and bread. The non-alcoholic drinks are a hidden gem not listed on the menu; I highly recommend the red one called "Don't Call Me Shirley." The blue drink is also tasty, though I can’t recall the exact name, but it's something to do with butterfly. The custard dessert is definitely my favorite! The service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is fantastic! You really need to give this place a try! Book a table now

I visited this restaurant while on a work trip, and I have to say that Morgan was amazing. I typically allow my server to choose dishes for me since I'm not picky, and everything he recommended was absolutely delicious. Once I hit my spending limit for the day, he surprised me with an extra glass of wine to enjoy with my meal. I have to give my compliments to both the chef and the staff. The latke fries were the best fries and the best hash browns I’ve ever tasted, and the cocktails were fantastic as well. Truly impressive!

Having lived in Philadelphia for over four years, it’s disappointing that I only had the chance to visit this restaurant after I moved. It was a fantastic experience. The food was excellent and offers a unique option within the Philly dining scene. The restaurant has a cool, sleek atmosphere and our waiter was exceptional—very knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and genuinely friendly. I’m really sad to hear that it’s closing; it was truly a memorable experience.

We had a great dinner based on recommendations from the bar tender and wait staff. I can 't believe Abe Fisher never turned up on our many restaurant searches for Philly. Luckily we found them just before they close on July 1 to remodel for more of a fine dinning venue, which will be our first restaurant to visit during our next trip to Philly after their planned August opening.

Abe Fisher is a great mix of nostalgia and fine dining. Dishes I've grown up with are elevated to a level I didn't know they could be. Servers are knowledgeable and friendly. We have a great experience here every time we go. Don't miss the croutons on whatever version of Caesar salad is on the menu! Book a table now

The food is beautiful and the service is outstanding. The Montreal short rib is a must-try—it had our table in tears! The schmaltz rye bread paired with the chicken liver mousse is exceptional. The service was truly impeccable and very friendly.
