Whilst the decore is a bit tired, with the tables and especially chairs in need of a long overdue replacement, there is still some ambience within the restaurant.We found the food and service very good. Our meals arrived on hot steel serving plates ensuring the meal was hot for the duration of the meal. Meat and accompanying vegetables, rice etc were very tasty and original. Wines not cheap, but that is restaurants. Otherwise enjoyed the meal. Would probably return if in the area again.
Lunched here with the family. The food was great. Had two authentic Turkish dishes, a Manti and a Kebab. Both lovely dishes full of flavour and fresh. Also ordered chips and squid for the kids which were crispy and fresh. Staff were friendly. But looks like the lack of trade may be taking a toll on this restaurant. A number of wines and drinks were no longer available that are noted on the menu. Would recommend. A pleasant meal.
Have been here each time I travel to Melbourne and stay at the Sebel across the road. I always order the shisha and have a relaxing smoke. On one occasion we had dinner here and ordered the sharing platter and bread with dips. We were not disappointed. The portion was huge and was very tasty. Their wine list is also not overpriced like other places.Would definitely recommend to others to try.
* we bought a Groupon voucher and thought it was quite reasonable.so we wanted to try it out inspite of the bad reviews.....Bad Choice!!!!Please don't bother! The 'Entree was OK but the Meat selection was tasteless with no quality whatsoever! The dessert was 2 tiny 1" piece like Turkish delight!I honestly believe its not worth trying out.Very disappointedno value for money! Book a table now
We visited here on a quiet evening. Food excellent, turkish bread and four dips, then a big plate of meats, rice, vegetables and salad to share. Meats included chicken, lamb, beef, sausages. Although it isn't the most plush surroundings, it is not so bad and it is clean. Recommend the groupon deal. They even swapped the wine for an Efes beer.
Just arrived in Melbourne from Wellington for the weekend and happened to see this restaurant at docklands, we love Turkish food but I have to say this is the worst Turkish meal I have ever had, couldn't finish it as it was so terrible, service was also very disappointing.
Service was horrendous - we had to keep asking after simple items. Food choice was poor, and massively overpriced for what it is. Staying away is a MUST!
After having a great day out with my family we choose to go to this restaurant for dinner, Bad decision, choose the $45 banquet, We won't be back. Book a table now
