Admiral Maltings doesn’t actually make beer, but at their adjacent pub/taproom, The Rake, they serve a variety of beers that have been made with their handcrafted malt. The Rake has plenty of shady outdoor seating, safely protected from the parking lot to keep your kids corralled while you’re sipping on a pint and some of the best pretzels around. We’ve seen many parents there with their kiddos at lunch on the weekends. The beer menu changes frequently, featuring different brews made from their malted grain. If you get a chance though, try their sours—they are a personal favorite.

My new favorite spot. I love the beer selection. You get a lot of variety because they are all from different breweries. The best part is that I love malt forward beers and they have a good selection of them. Also it is cool to smell the different roasts and see the malting floor through the window. Great bar snacks as well
Great place with various malt drinks to visit after the tour of the nearby USS Hornet. Admiral Maltings is the first small, crafted malt floor in California since 1906. Created by the owners of SF, Thirsty Bear and Magnolia are handcrafted breweries. Nice.
They tied everything in with existing material and it flows nicely. Seeing the floor malted through the window of a seating area was like being on a brewery tour from my seat with a beer. Book a table now
Craft Malthouse and a taproom that pours beers that show their ingredients. A great place to learn about one of the most important components of brewing.
Staff is helpful and polite, the food is great the Duck rillette is fantastic. Check out the huge malt vats. Dog friendly.
fun unique business. they can see the pasture during the painting process and enjoy the beer that results from the work.
