What do I look for in a macaron? The filling must be light, not overwhelming, smooth and not over sticky so that eating a macaron will be clean without much stuff sticking on my teeth. The crust of the macaron is thin but the crust of Adriano Zumbo's macarons is dry and semi-hard. Each bite breaks into the soft centre of the macaron. The problem with AZ may be the macarons are not made onsite and the only leverage was its wide variety of flavours and captivating colours.

Love the desserts here! It's best to come later in the evening as it's not too crowded and you still get a good selection of desserts. Never a disappointment and service has always been good. Located inside the star so you can walk around the shops or play the pokies. Definitely one for that good old food porn. Prices are also quite reasonable and there is street parking available but is also close to public transport.

Adriano Zumbo has to be very proud of every single one of his outlets. They all run at a very high standard and never fail to draw you in with their rainbow of colours. All their options are to die for and lucky I have self control otherwise I'd be scoffing these down every chance I have. My favourites are the V8 salted caramel cake and their maccarons. They always taste amazing and I'm so glad I have them in my life.

Zumbo is a Sydney dessert icon, and I love trying his creations that pop up at food festivals across the year. This one was a neat lil creation that had an actual edible chocolate cup! Inside there was a milo flavour marshmallow, then a brownie cake and then ice cream! Yum!
