ambience is what you paid for here. the service was very good, tee excellent and eating was great (if not really spectacular). but if they are tourist, they are looking for what they imagine to be the afternoon - that's a bit expensive, but in the face of the environment, that's not a surprise. go here for a special occasion or experience- but there are certainly cheaper options with tee and eat than good or better. then, as I started, they don't pay for the tee here.
The food at Prestonfield’s is always great. The tea service is pretty awesome. From antique teapots to a lounge that feels like you’re in an old manor. Definitely a worthwhile escape from hustle of Edinburgh
Afternoon tea was perfect. Tea and food was matched by a great service. Social distancing measures were in place but it did not take anything away from the overall experience
