We ordered the Sizzling garlic prawns and Jasmine (non sticky) rice. We were very surprised how fast it arrived at our table, almost like they were lurking in the kitchen waiting for an order. Sizzling plate means sizzle, not warm water. Everything had that boiled taste except for the prawns, they were tasteless. The only flavor was the salty minced garlic. I went to the counter and politely asked for some chili to give it some kick. When the waitress was getting it from the kitchen it erupted into an uproar of banter and heckling, as if it was a necessity to add some spice. We were here during the Whitsunday festival and sat right on the balcony as the fireworks were going off outside. It was the best seat in the house and a great place to eat in Airlie.There wasn't a great amount of options on the menu and my order tasted different to any Thai I had before. It had a very strong sweet chilli sauce flavour. It was nice though and we would go back. The waitress was lovely, the wine was yummy and the food was very reasonably priced. Thanks for a good meal!
I had another wonderful evening at this restaurant, which is my go-to spot for Thai food in Airlie. The satay chicken was incredibly tasty, with plenty of chicken, fresh vegetables, and a flavorful satay sauce with just the right amount of heat. The view from the balcony alone is worth a visit. The staff always make me feel welcome, and I even had a chance to chat with the chef, who is truly authentic. I left feeling satisfied and content.
We went here for dinner. The service was great, the food was tasty. We had curry puffs, duck red curry and a chilli beef dish. My biggest complaint is that the wine list is pretty thin and not a good selection. They do offer BYO with a corkage fee, so I would recommend that if you want a good wine that you do that.

The staff is fast and serviceminded, however if you're looking for authentic Thai food, this is not the place. The food is ok, but even the most spicy dish ordered, was quite weak. But the food is plenty and served quite fast, so if this is the criteria, the view from the terrace is quite nice.
5 vegetarians, a couple with various allergies, and these people sorted us out perfectly! The woman serving us knew which dishes had fish sauce already in them, and which could be made properly vegetarian. As a result we ate amazing and delicious Thai food. Spicy and flavoursome. Excellent!
Service very poor,waited a while for order to be taken. Had two entrees,very average if that,mains were awful. Went here two years ago,food was very nice. Won't be going there again. Too many other options in town to waste money here.
Airlie Thai is situated right in the heart of Airlie Beach. It possesses top quality views. The food was mid standard for Thai food. The staff were marvellously friendly. A tad overpriced.
