We got take away from Alberto’s tonight and after seeing the review on mouldy garlic bread still gave it a go figuring they would ensure something that terrible never happened again......no, our garlic bread was incredibly mouldy. The other food was ok and the service...before anything went wrong was great. After walking minutes to pick up the order and ordering garlic bread to ensure a picky year old ate something for dinner, we got home to find the garlic bread terribly mouldy. Called them so they could drop a new one off to us and they advised that their driver was busy and they would replace the garlic bread but we had to go pick it up ourselves! Won’t return.
Me and my friend went to this restaurant last night and I think it was the BEST pizza I’ve ever had in my LIFE! And I’ve been to Italy! The pizza was on par with being the real stuff in Italy. We also got a...pasta each and it was delicious, could not fault it at all! The owner was SO friendly, he gave us complimentary garlic bread and the other staff was SO friendly. recommend!
Discovered this pizzeria quite by accident a number of years ago. Situated at the quiet end of King Street in Newtown, Alberto’s been around for decades. Alberto's has been a local favourite for many years and we are long-time regulars. But a few deliveries in a row now we've received off-tasting or visibly mouldy food. Today the garlic bread had obvious green furry spots. I'm sorry to say so but we'll...be ordering elsewhere in future. I hope Alberto's returns to form.
Order home delivery on a Monday night , when I unwrapped the garlic bread it was covered in mould , rang the restraint and they offered to replace it , but didn't seeem to be interested that it was mouldy , I wonder how there...good there basic hygiene is , Definitely won't be recommending
Avoid this restaurant at all costs unless you enjoy finding worms crawling out of your pizza. I reached out to the restaurant but they were not interested in addressing the issue, and the manager never called me back.
