This is not my first time here but will sadly be my last! We came in on a very busy Sunday night and thankfully were seated right away! We were waiting a while when finally another waitress at least got us waters and let us know our waitress was running behind! Finally we placed our order and food was pretty fast! I will say on the way to the bathroom you can see in the kitchen and I debated eating after what I could see! We both had the Arugula salad with chicken and truly the portion was very small for the price! Then we had onion rings that were just okay and French fries! I've only been to Ale Mary's a few times, but the service is always friendly. We stopped in for a few drinks during their holiday Jingle Pop up most recently and while there were no tables available, we were able to immediately sit at the bar. We weren't getting food, so thus worked out for us perfectly. The holiday cocktail menu was varied, which was great for me because there are a few spirits I don't drink. I chose to stick to just one cocktail but sample some of their beer menu because it's always top notch. I don't like dark/winter beers so I was very happy to see some hoppy options available. Have been here several times in the last few years. Bad Yelper for just now submitting a review. I've been as a twosome and large party with reservations. Food and drink options are very good. They have an entire vegan menu with plant based options from shrimp apps to Hani sandwiches. The most varied omni and vegan options around I think. They have incredible vegan shakes. I have been craving the Cookie Monster and indulged this evening. The size is manageable for one person or you can share if you're feeling generous. I absolutely love Ale Mary's and will always come back!! They have a full vegan menu with killer options. Right now their holidays decor setup takes you into the Griswold's holiday house... or maybe into Whoville? Either way, it's impossible not to have a smile on your face while here! Only reason for the 4/5 stars is that I feel the menu is super overpriced for what it is. I ordered the Med Rice Bowl and it was essentially an arugula salad with grains, chickpeas, and dressing. It tasted great and came out quickly but I could've made that at home for about $4 instead of paying the $18.50 for it here. You pay for the experience though and the restaurant is a party!! So, not sure if getting buzzed enhanced this experience (lol) but it was great. We ordered a brisket grilled cheese with fries and Brussels sprouts. The fries were on point, crispy and nicely flavored. I wish other restaurants could do this consistently! The Brussels sprouts were yummy but nothing set them apart. I would order them again with no hesitation. The sandwich was delicious... Brisket, cheese, jalapenos... Chef's kiss . The servers were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was nice.. pub elegance was the aesthetic, if that's a thing. They also have outside seating which is nice when the weather is pleasant. I definitely recommend this place.
I gave this restaurant 2 stars because of its extensive vegan menu that actually tastes good. However, the service was absolutely horrible. The food took a very long time to come out, and our server never returned to check on us. One of our waters had something in it, and since he only came back to quickly drop off the food, I had to go without anything to drink for most of the experience. The restaurant has a full bar, but no drinks other than water were offered. We tried to order milkshakes, but he said he would be right back to take the order and never returned. Overall, I would rather pay extra money for DoorDash than visit this location again.
Went for a birthday brunch and everything was great. We were able to make a reservation which was convenient. The mimosa flight was a great deal and super tasty. Great food and drinks. Hard to find a vegan friendly place that has a brunch menu. All the food here is really tasty. Portion sizes fill us up. Can order drinks even with the early brunch.
