Probably our favourite mountain restaurant in Westendorf. To reach it you have to turn off the main piste 119 at the giant fake snowman (yes really! and ski a short track through the trees. The views from the terrace over the Windau valley are great and there are deckchairs for sunny days. The food is good value, standard mountain fare. Goulash soup for a light lunch or Grostl for a bigger meal are good. An ideal lunch stop, never seems to get too crowded
We often went to the bakery for lunch or coffee. The location is great. Eating is good as you can also read in other posts. Our last visit was beautiful again, except the very unfriendly and rude waitress. And she made mistakes on the bill, so we paid too much first. After our complaint, we have our money back. Hopefully, she will soon be in a better mood for other customers.
Most likely you will find the finest small dining in the Skiwelt region. Weather it is a russian chicken or something from the menu (try her cunning Tyrolean green with fried egg) you will not be torn off and it is excellent cooking from this table service facility.
How do we ever find the places. Skiing from Westendorf to Kirchberg take a small detour from the slopes 120 over the 119a and just around the corner behind some tannins you will find this small jewel. Beautiful view excellent food
