Alpha Tavern - Table reservation

Thinking that since the Alpha had changed hands and was rebuilt it would be better. But it was not.We went there on Mother 's Day. Had reservation for 4pm for 3 persons. They did not have our reservation. But, they were not busy.We were seated in the back close to the kitchen. We were told that we could not order off the regular menu, only a Mother 's Day which was very limited.As we waited on our food, we were swatting off an infestation of Gnats.We ordered Bruschetta for Appetizers, Rack of ribs and a salad. One of our regular spots when we're in Wheeling. The food quality is excellent and the portions are huge. I've attached the pork nachos appetizers that is plenty large enough for six or seven people.The ravioli I had was very tasty and included a large breadstick.They'll easily accommodate gluten free customers with a GF bun option for hamburgers. My wife thought her burger was delicious.When in Wheeling, make the effort to check this place out.

Helpful staff, very modern decor, low lighting in dining area, beautiful marble tables. Enough lights to make everything pretty but not overwhelming. They have a full bar if you are looking to have your favorite cocktail. They have a variety of different foods to pick from. There is something for everyone.

The food, service and atmosphere are all great. Some of the menu prices seem a bit steep. $16 for a Mediterranean salad with no protein? Ugh
