Idk if nino left or what happened but the quality is clearly not their top priority. I call for a buffalo roll and a penne vodka slice. They tell me 20mins. I walk in the roll is done, cool. But they tell me they had just started making the sauce so Id have to wait for my 1 slice. I said "no I dont" and I paid 8.50 for my buffalo roll that was just bigger than my hand. I have a strong appreciation for Amano’s; my family and I are regular customers. We typically opt for delivery or takeout, but today was our first time dining in to place an order. The service was friendly and attentive. However, my biggest concern—and the only complaint I have—is that the staff at the register and those preparing the food were not wearing gloves. I was quite shocked and a bit unsettled when my pizza was handled by hands that had just touched the register. I ordered a slice for my one-year-old, and given that it’s cold and flu season, I felt hesitant about giving the pizza to my baby. I truly hope this practice changes soon.
This is some of the best pizza in New Jersey, no joke! I decided to visit after seeing its high rating from Dave Portnoy, and it certainly lived up to the hype. I've been to Amano several times, and I’ve never had anything that wasn’t fantastic! From the pizzas to the salads and sandwiches, everything is worth tasting. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the place is always immaculate. There’s a wide variety of pizzas on display, so you can try something different each time you visit. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area—you won’t be disappointed!
I ordered the chicken parmesan pizza, and it was quite disappointing. The quality of the pizza was lacking, with the cheese being excessively thick and tasting almost artificial. We tried their XL Cheese pizza and it was amazing! The crust was perfectly thin, reminiscent of a classic NYC slice from a hidden gem. We also enjoyed their eggplant parm hero, which was equally delicious! I can't wait to order from here again!
The best pie I've ever had! I can't believe I can eat this every week without getting tired of it—it's like magic. The crust is perfect, the sauce is incredible, and the sweet and salty combination is to die for. We're completely addicted!
